Graphic novel competition winners

11 Mar

Over the half-term break, the Literacy Team held a creative competition, encouraging students to create and design the first two pages of their own graphic novel.

Entries submitted included an array of fantasy adventure and action novels.

Mrs Haines, from the Literacy Team, said; “The Graphic Novel section in our library has always been very popular with students so we had hoped for some great entries to our World Book Day Competition. We were however blown away by the number and quality of entries. Perhaps our winners will be future novelists or illustrators.”

Congratulations to our competition winners who were awarded five house points, a certificate and a Waterstones book voucher.

Year 8: Louie, Owens House

Year 9: Jackson, Frank House

Year 10: Eliza, Attenborough House

Year 11: Hannah, Frank House

Entries from Ethan (Year 9, Parks House) and Ben (Year 11, Frank House) were also recognised as highly commended.

Well done!
