U3A Christmas performance

On 11th December, more than 40 of our music students performed to over 150 senior citizens at the Christmas meeting of the Cheltenham branch of the University of the Third Age (U3A) at St Matthew’s Church.

There were performances by the school’s senior singers, string quartet, two ensemble items by the year 10 GCSE group and a number of solo performances.

As always, all the performances were superb. In the words of the event’s organiser: “Your students stood up in front of over 150 senior citizens and gave it their all, performing beautifully and demonstrating much talent. Without exception, everyone was delighted and impressed by the performance they were treated to and voiced their opinions, which were full of praise for your gifted and delightful pupils.”

Praise that was indeed well deserved – well done to all the students involved.
