Student Investor Challenge

Four of our year 10 students made it to the semi-finals of the Student Investor Challenge, a national competition that our year 10 students of business take part in.

Some 6,300 teams from schools across the country take part in the investment challenge where they have a virtual £100,000 to trade in stocks and shares at a virtual stock exchange. They have to predict which shares will gain them more money.

The team managed to gain £21,462 extra money in the short time of trading; this got them down to the top 48 teams to reach the semi-finals.

Miss Smith, Head of Business said: “This is a fantastic achievement for such young people. Well done.”
