Year 12 Entry Criteria
At Bournside we invest significant time in ensuring that students applying to our Sixth Form internally and externally are well suited to their chosen subjects. Our general entry requirements are:
- All students must achieve at least a grade 4 in Mathematics and English Language or Literature, and at least a grade 5 or equivalent in their 3 chosen subjects
- All students must meet the subject-specific entry requirements for the courses they wish to study. See our Sixth Form Course Guide for further details.
Year 13 Progression Criteria
In order to progress successfully from Year 12 into Year 13, you need to have displayed adequate progress on your programme of study. Your place in Year 13 will be evaluated at the end of Year 12, and your attitude to learning, attendance, and progress across the year will inform your successful progression into Year 13.
Cheltenham Bournside School reserves the right to refuse progression into Year 13 based on any of these factors. If we decide that it is not in your best interest, an alternative offer will be made.
