At the heart of the community

Our school strives to be at the heart of its local community and the first choice school for students living within our priority consideration area. Through living our core values, students and staff engender pride and a strong sense of community in our collective achievements, which permeate throughout the school and can be seen in so many ways.

Following an assembly on the plight of the Syrian children, students across the school worked with local charity, ‘Ledbury Refugee Support’, collecting donations in support of the people of Aleppo.

Our students regularly undertake extensive fundraising in support of charitable causes. We place great importance on forging sustainable links with our local primary schools and are always grateful for the time, energy and effort that so many local volunteers and businesses give in support of our school and its students.

Being at the heart of our community is a key responsibility for all associated with Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form Centre and is one of our defining characteristics.

The annual Top Link Sports Festival is attended by pupils from our feeder primary schools. Bournside students from Years 9 and 10 pass on their knowledge and understanding of a vast range of sporting activities.
