The West End comes to Bournside this week as the school will be ‘alive with the sound of music’ as it presents its annual musical. This year’s production is the timeless classic The Sound of Music with a fantastic cast made up of students from years 7 to 13.
The story of Maria, a novice who leaves the abbey to become governess to the seven children of Captain Von Trapp, eventually falling in love with him, is known and loved by all.
The show contains many much-loved songs including Do-Re-Mi, My Favourite Things, Climb Every Mountain and Edelweiss to name just a few. The singing will be accompanied by a band of 16 musicians, the largest band for any Bournside show ever!
The school has a long and proud tradition of producing great musicals and this one promises to be a real blockbuster. There are three evening performances on Thursday 16th, Friday 17th and Saturday 18th January. Performances in the Main Hall begin at 7:00pm and tickets are still available for each night (limited availability on Saturday). Tickets cost £8 and £6 for concessions. See the letter below for details of how to book tickets.
