Year 13 students visit Parliament

On 25th September, the House of Commons met following the prorogation of Parliament, and our sixth form students were there to see it!

Year 13 politics and economics students had a tour of the House of Lords and the rest of the Palace of Westminster before the real highlight of the day: watching from the public gallery some of the angry exchanges when Attorney General Geoffrey Cox was questioned in the Commons.

Students were then treated to a question and answer discussion with our local MP, Alex Chalk, before visiting Europe House (the Head Office for the European Commission in the UK) for a session about Brexit.
