IBDP 2010 - Cancellation of Programme

The deadline for applications for Sixth Form places for September 2010 was Friday 29th January. At this date, we had received a very low number of applications from students wishing to commence the IB Diploma Programme in September 2010. Due to this, we have decided as a school not to offer this programme from September. I know this will be disappointing news for you and your parents, but I hope the early decision taken on this will allow you to consider your options.
For those of you who have also applied to start an AS Level programme here, you will hear from us shortly with details about a time for you to come to the Centre here and talk about your application to one of the Sixth Form staff. For those of you who only applied to us to start the IB Diploma Programme, if you wish to reapply to us to start an AS Level programme, then please either complete a new application form and send it in to us, or simply email your AS choices as per the option blocks to amk@bournside.gloucs.sch.uk or telephone us on 01242 229511 and speak to Mrs Knight, the Sixth Form Secretary.

This has all been confirmed in a letter to all applicants for the IB Diploma programme. If you would like to talk about this further, please contact me.
