Cheltenham Bournside School and Sixth Form Centre are pleased to announce the school will be building a £2.8m state of the art Maths Hub as part of a series of building improvements planned over the next two years. The additional funding was secured from the Local Authority and successful bids to the Education and Skills Funding Agency.

The Maths Hub will comprise thirteen additional classrooms in a single story extension to its popular Learning Centre. Building is expected to begin around Easter 2018 and is likely to be completed within twelve months. The school will be welcoming additional students from September 2018 as part of a permanent increase from a 9 to a 10-form entry.
Headteacher, Gareth Burton, said “I am absolutely delighted to be able confirm that we will be building this fantastic facility for our students and staff. The additional capacity created by the new Maths Hub will provide a terrific space for our students to learn mathematics and will enable us to accommodate 300 students per year group, which will support local families in obtaining a place at their school of choice.”
