Homework TimetableHomework will be set regularly for years 7, 8 and 9 throughout the year according to the tables in the PDF document below. Most departments set "Independent Learning Assignments" in KS3 during the week indicated, or in the lesson that precedes that week. These will be extended pieces of work that will encourage pupils to develop their independent study skills so that they will be better able to cope with coursework at Key stages 4, 5 and in further education. Each Independent Learning Assignment should take between 3 and 4 hours to complete. Completion dates are emboldened under the subject concerned. All the hand-in dates refer to week commencing dates unless stated – teachers will collect work in during that week and they will inform students of the precise handing in date for their classes.
