Arts College
Bournside is well established as a Visual Arts College with Art, Drama and Film
forming the core of its specialism. The arts are used to enrich every aspect of
the school’s work, providing a focus on creativity, independent thinking and
visual learning. Cross-curricular projects linking the arts with other subject
areas enable students to make connections across subject areas and learn a range
of skills.
As a centre of excellence in the arts, students are given opportunities to work
with inspirational artists and performers of all kinds. Students’ work is
regularly celebrated in performances, exhibitions and displays both in school
and in the community. There are also many exciting opportunities for students to
take part in a programme of extra-curricular activities leading to concerts,
exhibitions and drama productions.
A lively programme of courses, workshops, exhibitions and events in the arts is
organized for the wider community, involving students in local schools, their
parents and business employees.
